HELP! POST-SPIN SOS

first aid box with sos sticker

I THINK I'M INJURED...

While it is not ideal to feel soreness or pain after your spin class, most first-timers do feel a little discomfort after their class, especially if they are not used to exercising.

However, it is not normal to feel severe pain and other symptoms of ER. If you feel these symptoms, you could be injured and need medical help immediately.

FOR SEVERE INJURIES LIKE ER, YOU MAY EXPERIENCE SOME OR ALL OF THESE SYMPTOMS:

  • Severe muscle pain and weakness

  • Loss of muscle control

  • Dark-coloured urine

  • Nausea

  • Dehydration

  • Decreased urine input

  • Irregular heartbeat

WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT?

If you suspect you have developed ER from the indicators mentioned, you should visit the emergency department (A&E) of your nearest hospital immediately.

This is important as you may need treatment as soon as possible to keep your kidneys and muscles healthy.
